So far I have failed to do any training at all, and I haven't raised a brass farthing.I did get some sort of exercise last weekend though. Simon Chapman, with whom I'm going to Bolivia in July, came down to Cambridgeshire and we canoed about 12 miles from my house to Cambridge on a river so small it barely even appears on the 1:25,000 OS maps. It took us over six hours. Often the river was little more than a ditch. We saw kingfishers, herons, wrens, long-tailed tits, swans, greylag and canada geese, cormorants and a mink. No otters unfortunately, though I think they're around.
Shall we have a race to see who can get the first sponsorship? Does anyone claim the prize? How is everyone else doing? Someone had better post something here soon or I'll start posting Vaughan's jokes ...
